Senior Clinical Laboratory Molecular Geneticist - NGS

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Molecular Diagnostic or Clinical Genomics Lab at CGC Genetics (at Porto, Portugal location) as a Senior Clinical Laboratory Molecular Geneticist and is expected to:

. Perform NGS data analysis, including QC and variant analysis; clinical interpretation and reporting.
. Operate in accordance with CGC Genetics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting and reviewing laboratory quality procedures.
. Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and support its implementation.

  

Skills and Experience

. MSc or PhD in biology or related field required.
. Experience in high complex clinical molecular genetics testing (minimum 5 years).
. Experience in NGS data analysis and interpretation in the context of clinical genetic testing (minimum 2 years).
. Strong (bio)informatics skills.
. Ability to adapt to change and a rapid work pace.
. Excellent interpersonal communication and team player attitude.
