CGC Genetics Award Professor Doutor Amândio Tavares 2010

CGC Genetics Award ‘Professor Doutor Amândio Tavares’, created in June 2006 to reward innovation works in the field of Medical Genetics, was delivered July 5th, during the 18th Conference SinASE by the Secretary of State for Public Health Dr. Oscar Gaspar.


The International Jury, composed by Dr. Eufémia Ribeiro, Prof. Feliciano Ramos, Prof. Jorge Saraiva, Prof. Jorge Sequeiros, Prof. José Rueff, Prof. Roberto Giugliani and Prof. Victor Penchaszadeh, rewarded the following works:


1st Prize:
’Four years of expanded newborn screening in Portugal with tandem mass spectrometry’

Laura Vilarinho, Responsável da Unidade de Rastreio Neonatal do Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge


2nd Prize:
‘Structural and Expression Changes of Septins in Myeloid Neoplasia''''

3rd Prize:
"Estudo clínico e genético da síndrome de Rett em Portugal” (Clinical and Genetical study of Rett Syndrome in Portugal)
